SDS-PAGE is spreading out - (Apr/03/2006 )

My protein gel I just ran is spreading out and I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems. I ran it at 200V. The resolution was fine but it just wasn't pretty. Could it be that they were new gels? I had made them earlier in the day and perhaps they just weren't set completely. Anyway thanks for the help in advance.

could you possibly attach a picture? 'spreading out' could mean a couple things and we need to understand your problem correctly in order to help?
