RNA isolation from castor leaf sample using GTC method - unable to detect RNA bands in castor leaf sample using GTC method (Mar/21/2006 )

Hi to all,

Right now, Iam working with total RNA isolation from castor leaf sample using GTC method.
GTC method is working well with sorghum samples but not with casror samples. can anybody suggest a possible methodology for castor samples.

Are the leaves starchy? Have you tried any of the available methods that minimize co-precipitation??
I isolate RNA from water lilies and have completely unpredictable results depending on tissue.

What is your major prolem? RNA yield? Quality??
