dna extraction from hair - (Oct/30/2001 )

I need a fast and simple method to extract genomic DNA from a couple of hair, even one hair if possible, to carry out twice PCR. The reason is a fast and sreening gene amplification is needed in clinical work. Sometime to eliminate a diagnosis need gene checking.

You may try Chelax100.It is good for me when I try to get dna from a dry bone for PCR.
A lot people use chelax in the forensic field.
