Re-use of columns for DNA-preparation - (Mar/06/2006 )

Hi everybody,

I asked myself if it is a problem to use spin columns or other colums for DNA preparation from kits more than once (of course just for one sort of DNA per column). We use QIAGEN kits for gel extraction/DNA purification/miniprep and for endotoxin-free midiprep. I´m keen to hear about your experiences.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
there at least one company selling a kit for regeneration of silica-based columns. It worked fine on Qiagen & MN columns.
