Trypsinization of RAW 264.7 cells - RAW 264.7 trypsinization without scraping (Mar/01/2006 )
Can somebody tell me if there is a way to passage/harvest RAW 264.7 cells without scraping.

try 1:5 trypsin for first assays.
If don't succed, try to trypsin (no dilute) and to hit gently the plate. That helps great to detach cells.

Im not sure if trypsinisation is ideal for RAW 264.7 cells as I have always split them by scraping. Is there a reason for not wanting to scrape?

Do you use non-heat inactivated FBS or heat inactivated FBS for your growth medium? Do you know if this factor affects raw cell viability much?

I am not a fan of scraping either...
I am planning to try Versene (when I finally get it) since it is gentler than trypsin.
Yeah- has anyone tried culturing RAW cells in non-heat inactivated FBS?
I've heard that heat inactivated FBS can be actually disadvantageous to some cell lines
