Mitogenic activity - How to measure it? (Feb/09/2006 )

Hi,
I want to know how to measure mitogenic activity? I have heard it requires work with radioactivity…?.... Is that true? And is that the only way?

hi,

you can use 3H-Thymidine to study proliferation
others non-radioactive methods could be applied (MTT/XTT, BrdU, ...) by ELISA, flow cytometry or colorimetry...
