how to determine tissue specific expression of gene? - (Jan/26/2006 )

anyone know what's the "easiest" method to determine what tissues a specific gene is expressed in? for example, i know of 13 different drosophila myosin proteins, but i need to know if they are expressed in the eye ....

northern blot? or (i don't know if exist) but macro arrays of drosophila may help.

maybe you can fused the promoter of your specific gene to a reporter gene like gus. But I don't know if its work in fly but that's we do in plants
