Limit od detection and quantification - RT-PCR (Jan/26/2006 )

Since I'm new in the RT-PCR area I have difficulties with calculating the limit of detection and quantification analysing GMO material. Would anyone know how to perform the analysis and how to compute the results.

Extract total RNA of your GMO--> quantification by spectrophotometer-->perform a 10 fold serial dilution--> use that for RT-PCR--> the lowest concentration which give you a positive band will be your lowest detection limit.
