Subcellular localization - (Sep/21/2001 )

I am stimulated cells with a recombinant protein. I would like to know if there is anyone who knows of a way to detect this protein's subcellular localization with precision or if anyone has done similar type of expreriments? For example, is it possible to use GFP-fusion protein (my protein is about 21Kd) or is it better to use immunofluoresence?

I suggest you label your protein with FS, a reagent available with Panvera Corporation, Madison, Wisconsin. It is a small fluorescent label that will not interfere with your protein's solubility or function.
