Starting to work with methylation - (Dec/05/2005 )

I´m thinking about starting to work with methylation but I know very little regarding the subject (theory and practical). Which papers or books are recommended?

there are a number of good review articles in the literature which would be a good start for people wanting to get into the field.

Pubmed DNA methylation and there are two tabs, one for methylation, of course you can narrow down your search to a particular area of methylation, such as with respect to cancer, to a gene, to imprinting and the like. Within these review articles, citations to the research papers are often made and are thus a good starting point for further research into the experiments involved......sometimes though the review articles get things wrong and may extrapolate findings to suit a possible hypothesis, so don't take what they say in absolute blind faith.
