i have ten biology questions. here they are:

1. What protist has not been successfully cultivated in the laboratory?

2. Name an organism that has both plant and animal characteristics.

3. What compound is usually identified by the use of iodine?

4. What important gas is released during photosynthesis?

5. Contrast photosynthesis and respiration.

6. Is movement characteristic of plant or animal cells? Explain.

7. Molecules are the smallest possible particles of any compound. Are water molecules more active in gas, in liquid or in a solid state?

8. Under what circumstances does osmotic pressure occur?

9. Why do dried prunes swell when soaked in pure water?

10. Why do cucumbers and some other vegetables shrink when placed in salt water?


I know you guys are not here to do my homework, but i have looked everywhere trying to figure the answers to these questions. if you know any of the answers, i would appreciate it whooolle lot if you could help me out. thanks.

5. Contrast photosynthesis and respiration. INSPIRATION AND PERSPIRATION

6. Is movement characteristic of plant or animal cells? Explain. NEITHER

7. Molecules are the smallest possible particles of any compound. Are water molecules more active in gas, in liquid or in a solid state? LOOKS LIKE U HAVE NOT HEARD OF ATOMS

8. Under what circumstances does osmotic pressure occur? WHEN U R NOT READY FOR A QUIZ OR EXAM AND HAVE PARTIED ALL NIGHT

9. Why do dried prunes swell when soaked in pure water? COZ THEY DONT LIKE TAP WATER

10. Why do cucumbers and some other vegetables shrink when placed in salt water? COZ THE DRIED PRUNES SWELLED UP IN PURE WATER...

I do not gaurentee the validity of the answers and if you get a failing grade its your fault. Your fault for not paying attention in class or for doing your work and looking for shortcuts.

Good luck Garron...you are going to need it. I know you have looked "everywhere" to find the answers, so let me give you a bit of advice:
1. Use your textbook. Yes, try reading, that's what it's there for.
2. Although it may seem like a novel concept, THINK and integrate ideas.
3. Don't ask scientists with real problems to do your pathetic high school homework. You'll just end up pissing us off.

hmpf .... i didn't want to start bashing her/him ... but really ... this place is not designed to answer your questions garron. sry, although i'm pretty sure, that a lot of the guys/girls around could answer your questions, this place was designed for a different purpose .... plz read and search your books, go to the libary. it's important, that you'll know how to find the imformation, you're looking for.
