ChIP protokol question - (Dec/01/2005 )

Hallo

I use upstate ChIP protocol for my experiments. I use 1mM PMSF and protease inhibitors in Washbuffer(PBS). Can I wash only with pure PBS, I mean without PMSF and protease inhibitors?

I was wandering the same question as you. I guess at this stage, cells have not been disrupted and washing with pure PBS should be OK, but I just follow what the protocol says.

I have read today X-ChIP protocol (abcam). I have seen that, washbuffer without protease inhibitors. That is so difficult to prepare aprotinin and pepstatin and storage is fast impossible.
