Needing help with peritoneal macrophage induction. - (Nov/14/2005 )

I'm doing research on PEC's. My advisor had to leave so I've since been on my own and kinda lost. I have a few questions. First off, I'm doing my research on inducing peritoneal macrophage in mice. I have 4 groups of 3 mice each.

In one group I'm injecting the mice with thio along with Catalase Micrococcus lysodeikticus, just to see what kind of response I get. In another group I'm using thio along with Cholesterol Oxidase from Pseudomonas fluorescens. Here is my question. From the supplier, these came in a powder form, and one in a pure liquid form. How can I dilute these into the thio in order to not kill my mice by overdosing them. I'm unsure of how much of each I need to use.

You need to know the lethal dose first. For that you need to do an experiment to find out LD50 i.e the concentration where 50% of experimental animals cans till servive.
