genetic markers for cell lines - (Nov/11/2005 )

is it possible that the genetic markers would be different in cell-line versus it's subcloned cell line??
e.g. hela versus hela S3?

in the case of hela and helaS3, i assume there probably be differences on genetic markers as one can grow in both adherent and in solution forms and the other not...
