Oligo(dT)18 vs. Oligo(dT) 20? - (Nov/04/2005 )

Is there any functional advantage to using Oligo(dT)20 vs. Oligo(dT)18 for any particular applications. Companies seem to offer one or the other with their first strand synthesis kits, but never mention any advantages. It seems like the minute difference between the 2 wouldn't make any real difference.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I can't think of a meaninful difference unless you want to clone your cDNA in-frame with your vector.
