phenol:chloroform:isoamyl alcohol at different pH for RNA extraction - (Oct/19/2005 )

I was wondering what is the difference when using phenol:chloroform:isoamyl alcohol (25:24:1) at different pH (4.3 to 8.0) when doing a phenol extraction of RNA......How much difference does it make?
