TaqMan probes, pcr mix - (Oct/06/2005 )

Hi all,

I'm just revving up to do qPCR using a TaqMan probe approach. I know of ABI and Biosearch technologies as vendors for probes. Any others that can be recommended?

How about PCR reagents for TaqMan? Any recommendations?

I get my dual labelled probes from IDT http://www.idtdna.com

Their probes are about 1/2 the cost of ABI/PE Biosystems and have worked well for me on all occaisions. The taqman reagents I have always purchased directly from ABI, however I know of other companies making the reagents.
