What happens if I leave an antibiotic under UV overnight? - HELP!! (Oct/06/2005 )

Hi,
I forgot to put away a 50 mg/ml solution of G418 sulfate (genetecin) solution (in water) and left it under the UV overnight in the hood. Is it still ok to use. I am using it to select a cell line which has been stably transfected. The cells are already growing and I am just carrying out routine maintainance.

Were it me, I wouldn't know for certain that it was still good, thus I wouldn't use it...

Your cell line is much more valuable than the antibiotic...
