theoretical Biology - can we predict every biological process using mathematical models? (Oct/04/2005 )

i became interested in this field when i found a paper dealing with the predictions of the possible responses of kinetics to the change in the level of a given compound in the NF-kB signaling pathway:

Theoretical biology is great. Too bad it still has to be tested on living biological organisms to verify the results

i think that theoretical biology can manage a pathway. But it will be quite impossible to reproduce a whole cell in a computer...
