Finding corresponding amino acid in DNA sequence - (Aug/24/2009 )

Hi Bioforumers,

I need to design primers but I have a quick question. I would like to start with designing my primer at position 519 of my amino acid sequence. How would I find the corresponding DNA sequence from this position onwards? Is there any program that I can use?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Have a look at the protein sequence on expasy or the coding sequence at genbank. Either one should give you both sequences, from which you should be able to work out a converter to/from the nucleotide to/from the protein sequence. In most cases they will actually be aligned for you on these sites if you look closely enough.
