DNA isolation from tissue !!SOS!! - (Jul/15/2009 )

I used to isolate DNA from cells using a phenol/chloroform method.
Now I want to to do the same with tissue samples. My tissue is frozen and powdered.
But I have no idea about the ammount of tissue I should use. :)
Can anyone help me with this?
I would appreciate it very much!
Thank u! :D

That depends a lot on the method u are using, and the amount and quality of the DNA you need for next experiments, IŽd try 1gr and 0.5gr. That should work.
