Choice of expression vector - how to choose an expression vector (Jul/13/2009 )

Hi all,
I want to clone a gene into the expression vector. but unable to decide which vector to use PQE 30UA or PET32a vector.and which e.coli strains are compatible with these vectors.

PET expression systems are cheap and relatively simple so i'd stick with that, I used Pet28a expression system and always get good protein expression. Check manual for what strains are compatibly, generally for PET systems any DE3 e.coli strain is fine, check what antibiotic to use though.
