yeast transformation - Expression of plant genes in yeast (Jul/03/2009 )

Hi All,
I wish to see the functionality of the gene that i have isolated from a plant species. If I am right ,I think I should go for expressing it in the yeast.which yeast expression vector will be better to work with.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
