migration rates of loading dye in sodium borate gel - (Jul/02/2009 )

Our lab uses sodium borate gels for electrophoresis. I am using Qiagen GelPilot loading dye and the handbook/protocol includes the migration rates of the dyes in TAE and TBE buffer, but not in sodium borate buffer. Are the migration rates similar to either TAE or TBE, or will they be different?

Might it not be easiest to just check it out for yourself? :-)
There shouldn't be too much difference. Just run it about halfway down and have a look. Continue as appropriate.
