High salt solution to precipitate RNA - (May/26/2009 )

Hi,

does anyone know the difference between sodium citrate monobasic and trisodium citrate?

sodium citrate, monobasic has one sodium and two hydrogens.

trisodium citrate has three sodiums and no hydrogens (it could be called sodium citrate, tribasic).

with these two, trisodium is the basic component and the monobasic is the acid component when preparing a buffer.
