What the difference of Cation-adjusted Mueller hinton broth and Mueller hinton broth??

I have never worked with it, but I do remember from someone who did work with it that the level of unbound cations do interfer with your tests. It can have an influence on your results when testing for certain Bacteriostatic agents.
The not adjusted is medium is not supplemented with calcium or magnesium ions.
