Please anybody can explain the cloning related to plant vector construction - Plant vector construction (Apr/16/2009 )

In Cloning what is the use of polylinker usually they wil use pUC plasmids what is this ?

Can anybody explain

-KAMALAKER-

A polylink is a DNA sequence that contains many of the common restriction sites. Inserting it into a vector allows you to clone virtually any restriction cut piece of DNA into that vector.

thanking u very much

can u give one example I am new to this area

Examine the sequene of the cloning site of a common cloning vector such as pUC19. When these were first developed (1980s I think) there were papers published on them, which Pubmed could probably find, for example:

The pUC plasmids, an M13mp7-derived system for insertion mutagenesis and sequencing with synthetic universal primers.

Gene. 1982 Oct;19(3):259-68.
