differentiation of sh-sy5y - how o how o how do you do it :) (Mar/15/2009 )
Hello,
I try to differentiate sh-sy5y neuroblastoma cells with 10 microM without that much success.
I want to know at which density you seed them for differentiation 'couse i use 20000/cm2 and it might be too much.
what else could i do to make them be more differentiated.
Waiting for your answer

What agent were you using to differentiate? I've typically used retinoic acid.

I use 10 micromolar of retinoic acid with retinoic acid in full medium (10% Fetal calf serum)

try to add some neurotrophic factors like NGF or GDNF to promote neurite differentiation.
