usually i will immediately rinse the membrane with wash buffer after blotting and then block the membrane with 5% BSA. I keep the membrane at 4C and it is fine for several days, although the colour of pre-stained marker gradually faded

If you want to store it, I have usually dipped it in pure methanol, dried it on a piece of filterpaper and stored it in a plastic bag in the fridge. Dip in methnol to rewet it before you proceed with your blotting procedure. I have used this to store membranes for a couple of days, but it may last longer.

i do this too. It works fine for me.
For nitrocellulose membrane. just do the same but with water

Thanks, that is good to know. My old lab used PVDF, but my new one nitrocellulose and I never knew if it was possible to dry and use the nitrocellulose later

I just leave it as such after filming it at referegerator. Sometime I wash it with TBS buffer and store at referegerator.
