graphing/statistical software - (Feb/14/2009 )
hello all
anybody recommend software that will both create graphs and perform statistical software? i am currently using Graphpad Prism (which i love) but am having trouble getting a copy for my macintosh
any suggestions for a mac?

it is available for any platform (including mac)

R will require you some programming knowledge. You can also try SigmaPlot.

I use R for my (and my lab's) data analysis. SigmaPlot is a good program but is not available for everyone. Besides by installing some packages (e.g. RCommander) you can also have GUI in R so that you don't always need to hack the source code.
If you're still looking for an alternative, I'd suggest BioVinci. It works well for Mac (10.9 and higher).
It lets you drag and drop to run statistics and draw scientific plots, which is quite easy to handle. BioVinci can also run PCA well, so give it a try if you want something quick for feature selection or dimension reduction.
