pierce co-IP kit - (Feb/05/2009 )

I am just wondering if anyone has used the Pierce Co-IP kit and what they think about it. Reading the manual makes it sound pretty great for when you want to use the same species of antibody for both the IP and the WB, but is it really as good as it sounds??

If so, had horrible problems at first (in mammalian cells). I'm not the one doing this but my colleague got desperately bad results with one of the protocols the kit specifies, but then found the other one worked very well. Sorry but can't remember which is which now...if it is the same kit let me know and I'll find out how he got it to work well.
