Imaging for Fungal bioassay in 96-well clear plate - (Oct/20/2021 )
Hi,
Recently I have been working on anti-fungal bioassay to testing some compounds in the clear 96-well plate. I took fungal growth picture using my cell phone, but the wells close to the sides are not pictured well. Can anyone recommend a imaging system for 96-well plate, which can provide even images for all 96 wells?
Thanks!
Use a microscope with a camera attached. You will need to use an inverted microscope. However, for most purposes (i.e. publication, reports etc) it is better to use a quantitative assay of growth/inhibition. This might be a biochemical assay that measures how much growth the fungus by conversion of one chemical into another, or a protein measurement assay to assess how much protein is in a well.
I don't work with fungi, but for mammalian cell culture we use things like MTT/XTT or neutral red assays for measurement of cellular activity.

Imaging of fungal bioassay is used for configuration of genes and this 96 biosystem is one of the most recommended tests for genetics. Sometimes you might be confused between these xxxxxxx and it can lead to major mistakes in your theory work.
Confirguration of genes? Writing service?
The guy is just looking to record growth.
