What is this? Let's just say I found it in a private place.

Some tissue maybe? We would need at least a scale (i.e. how big it is), where it was collected from, symptoms etc before we could even approximate an identification. Generally identification of these sorts of things takes a number of biochemical and biological tests that we can't do for you.
