Favorite polymerase for general cloning? - (Apr/17/2018 )

Hi all, just learned that PFX from Invitogen has been discontinued. We've been good friends for a long time, and I'm pretty sad about it :(

I looked into the replacement polymerase, SuperFi, but I'm not at all happy that it is a master mix. How am I supposed to troubleshoot when I have so little control over what goes into my reaction? I'm looking for a new high fidelity, friendly polymerase that works well for routine PCR-based subcloning with separate kit components. What do you all like best? Thanks!

I've used KOD in the past. Plenty of people use Pfu

Phusion from either NEB or Thermo has worked consistently for me.

iProof from BioRad and G5 DNA polymerase from NEB have worked well for me.
