Beads coated with integrins? - (Mar/28/2018 )

Hi all, I am tasked with developing a system where I have beads coated with various integrins, and I monitor cell behaviour (e.g. motility, ECM deposition) in their presence. I was thinking about biotinylating intergins and conjugating to avidin beads - has anybody done that sort of thing? Or any other ideas maybe?

cheers, Eva

Avidin/biotin binding is one option. You can also get beads that allow you to directly conjugate your ligand to the beads - the method would depend on what chemistries are available on your ligand for conjugation and the type of bead, but some common methods are cyanogen bromide conjugation and NHS ester conjugation.
