Ratio to ?g/?l - (Dec/02/2017 )

Hi,

My antibody data sheet tells me that the concentration is 1.05 µg/µl. And I want to use the antibody at 1:750 concentration. Can you please tell me how can I convert the ratio to µg/ml or vice versa.

Many thanks

The paper I am referring says use the primary antibody at a concentration of 1:750
The antibody data sheet says that the primary antibody is at a concentration of 1.05 µg/µl
So, I am not able to understand how can I achieve a concentration of 1:750 from the stock concentration.

that was careless of the authors of that paper.

in general, it means that they took 1ul of the stock and added it to 750ul antibody incubation buffer.

careless because they didn't tell you the stock concentration. if, however, you are using antibody from the same company, then yours may be at a similar concentration.

you should determine the best dilution of your stock yourself (it should change from lot to lot).
