Preservation of RNA/cDNA samples - (Jun/03/2017 )

Hello!

I am planning isolation of RNA for the next days, RT reactions afterwards, and a lot of PCR and real time PCR.

These will be done within as short period as technically possible.

The problem is that here we have only -20 deg and liquid nitrogen.

I don`t really trust the freezer.

Can I store both RNA and cDNA samples in liquid nitrogen?

Will this affect my PCR results?

you can and it shouldn't have an adverse effect if you keep freeze/thaw cycles to a minimum (ie make single use aliquots and freeze).
