Are HEK293 cells a positive control for wild type p53 expression? - (Jul/07/2016 )

I have searched in the web and found that these two antibodies from abcam use hek293 as positive control.

* ab154036

* ab1101

But I am using another antibody:

* AM11182PU-S (OriGene Technologies Inc.)

I would like to know if hek293 can also serve as a positive for my antibody.

Yes, they should work as your antibody is also detecting human p53.
