DNA Extraction from Tissue Slides - (Apr/27/2016 )

Hi,

I have tissue slides that needs to have DNA extracted from it. They are paraffin embedded and formalin fixed, about 5-10um thick. How would you go about removing the tissue off the slides after paraffin dissolving from xylene?

Remove with a scalpel the tissue from the slides, place in micro tubes, heat the tubes at more or less 60C to melt the paraffin, add the xylene
