result of too much DNAse? - (May/19/2015 )

I've purified RNA from brain tissue using the Agilent Absolutely RNA Nanoprep kit. During the DNAse step, I misread the kit protocol and added too much (~5x too much). Just wondering if anyone knows off-hand, before I analyze my samples on the Bioanalyzer, if that can cause my RNA to be degraded (maybe too much DNAse makes it non-specific)?

Thanks.

I doubt this will be a problem (or, if there is a problem, that this is the problem).

Just to update in case someone else ever needs this, it was a problem. The two samples that I hadn't made that mistake with had a RIN of 9+. The others were all significantly degraded (~5-7).

Ah well, live and learn.
