contamination in HepG2 cell culture - (Mar/09/2015 )

Hi All,

I have been maintaining HepG2 cell culture. I split the cells on 1:4 ratio on Friday. I was out on the weekend and I came back on Monday to change the media. I noticed granulated extracellular particles. I initially thought it was cell debris but because of the sheer number I am concerned its bacterial contamination. Could you please give me your insights on it. I will truly appreciate it. Attached is the image.

Based on the size and regularity I would say yeast contamination.
