I was wondering if there was an easy to transfect and easy to attain primary cell line?

Primary fibroblastic lines are usually relatively easy to transfect. Availability depends on which species and whether you are prepared to make some. If you can get hold of fetal mice (12 day embryo), then they are quite easy to prepare if you follow the instructions in Freshney's "Culture of animal cells: a laboratory manual".
