Transformation E.Coli help - (Feb/03/2015 )

Hi, I just did a transformation but I accidentally added the luria broth before heatshocking...would my E.Coli have taken up the plasmids? I plated them anyway and will know the answer tomorrow morning but wanted to know what to expect!

Oh no....I knew it inside but I was holding on haha. I'm just curious but could you explain why adding lb before heatshock is bad? I get what heat shock does, but would the lb dilute my competent ecoli or something?
