Could any of you help with an explanation to these vague real time PCR curves - (Nov/26/2014 )
I have some times stranges curves (attached) in the qRT-PCR of my gene. What this actually means ?
Thanks

These curves are melting point curves - single products give single peaks. Your multiple peaks indicate that you have more than one product in your PCR, and as such readings are not assaying only one product, and won't give you a quantitative result.

Different amplicon products have different melting temperatures and since there are multiple peaks, you can conclude there is aspecific binding. To solve this you could try to rise your annealing temperature. You can't really use these measurements since you've used Sybr green (or a similar compound), and sybr green picks up all the amplification
