Dilute to a working concentration - (Oct/06/2014 )
Hi,
not sure of it is the right place but..
For some reason I just cannot wrap my head around it.
I've calculated that I need 0,15 ul of a reagent to be added in 150 ul of DMEM to get a c2=0,1 ug/ml.
(0,1 ug/ml x 1,5 ml) / 1000 ug/ml = 0,00015 ml = 0,15 ul.
c2 v2 c1 v1
However, I want to dilute this to a working concentration, e.g. 1:100 to get v1 to 15 ul.
How to practically do this?
And will it not affect the end concentration (c2)?
Thanks

add 1 ul of the stock to 99 ul of diluent.
the only variable affected by changing c1 is v1, which is what you wanted.
