RIPA buffer for IP and western - (Sep/09/2014 )

Hi,

I would like to know if the RIPA buffer is different for SDS PAGE and for IP or Co-IP. If so what is the composition to be used. And do I have to run the samples after Co-IP on SDS PAGE or native gel. Any suggestions would be of help.

The acronym RIPA stands for RadioImmunoPrecipitation Assay - it can be used for IP directly. Depending on the recipe you use, you may want to vary the detergent concentrations for co-IP especially.
