What gloves to buy Xceed, Supreno, Kimberly Clark Green or Glove Plus - (Jul/01/2014 )
I am looking at buying one of the below brands for the lab and I am looking to see what others think/use, they are for use with general lab work, nothing hazardous:
Xceed - Starlab
Supreno - Starlab
Kimberly Clark - VWR/FIsher
Glove Plus - Barber Healthcare
Does anyone have feedback on KC Green and Glove Plus, as have only used Starlab in the past and wondering if there any better? Fit, do they tear easily....
I also wondered about customer service with these two companies, as Starlab are really good? Never heard of Barber Healthcare before, anyone had a good/bad experience?
Thanks, any help would be much appreciated :)
after years of trying out various brands of nitrile gloves, our facility finally found that "cobalt" gloves from high five met our needs the best.
The only way how to test, if gloves fit and endure is to test them. Mostly companies will provide free samples.
I found it impossible to really choose from anything else then personal experience.
We for example need gloves that are whole rugged, not only finger tips, but this is rarely specified in catalogues.
Companies often have different types too, you need to check specific type.
Some gloves have weird sizes, so many people fall inbetween the sizes and are not comfortable in any.
Some gloves seems to be durable, but you find they feel really bad on hands after some time. Or they are too thick to feel comfortable.
Thank you for the replies. The main issue I am having is obtaining proper data from the larger companies, as I get passed from person to person with no real answers. Also they are not aware of difference between the gloves they supply.
I am well aware of glove standards and breakthrough times etc, however I would rather pay more for the same quality glove from a good company who do in fact have knowledgeable sales representatives and deal with issues promptly!
I have started a pole if anyone has two seconds to answer it, as the lab I am buying for cannot agree on one:
