DMSO in restriction digest - (Jun/15/2014 )

Hi, i was wondering if someone has tried adding dmso to a restriction digest to reduce the number of supercoiled plasmids and therefore help with the restriction efficiency? does this sound reasonable? would dmso rather interfere than help?

It isn't necessary - you can take a prep that is 100% supercoiled and digest it effectively with all the common restriction enzymes that I have worked with.
