expired medium - (Jun/05/2014 )

Hi,

I have some expired medium (RPMI 1640 and DMEM). In your opinion, can I use them?

Depending on how long 'expired' they are. I would recommend no, but if your lab in low on funds, maybe. But for important experiments I would say, go the safer side and get a new fresh bottle. These media have growth supplements that could break down with time.

Expired rougly 1 year.

What about tripsin EDTA solution? Its expired time is rougly 3 months.

Trypsin will probably be fine, the enzyme is quite stable.

I would think twice if it's 1 year overdue.
