Lac Promoter activity in P. aeruginosa - (Mar/10/2014 )

Hello,

I want to create a plasmid that constitutively expresses a reporter gene in P. aeruginosa. Therefore I am looking for a constitutive promoter to insert into my reporter vector and according to this article (http://mic.sgmjournals.org/content/148/1/87.long) the lac promoter (lacP) is a constitutive promoter in P. aeruginosa:

The lac promoter of E. coli acts as a constitutive
promoter in Pseudomonas spp. due to the absence of lac
repressor activity (Andersen et al., 1998).

I wanted to know if anyone had personal experience with P. aeruginosa and lacP who can affirm that it is indeed constitutively expressed in P. aeruginosa.

Thanks,
Ted

ptac promoter is a great promoter to use!
